What should I know before attempting OSCP?

Candidates most often fail on enumeration discipline, on privilege escalation, and on the report rather than on exotic exploits. If you cannot yet work through vulnerable machines methodically and write up what you did, you are not ready to pay for PEN-200 yet.

OSCP or CEH first?

They do different jobs. CEH is a multiple-choice credential that gets your CV through HR screening and appears in Indian job listings and empanelment requirements. OSCP is a hands-on exam that convinces technical interviewers you can actually do the work. For most people in Odisha the practical sequence is: build lab skill, take CEH if your target employers list it, then attempt OSCP once you can consistently compromise and document machines unaided.

How long does OSCP preparation take?
