What this track will not do for you
n8n is a tool, not a career by itself. This course will not make you a backend engineer, and it will not teach you to sell. Most paid automation work is won by people who can explain a business process, not by people who know node names. A self-hosted instance also needs someone to patch and back it up.
Who this is for
Suits operations and support staff drowning in copy-paste work, freelancers who want a billable skill, small business owners automating their own admin, and students with a technical bent. It does not suit anyone expecting a click-and-done tool tour, or anyone unwilling to read an API document and look at raw JSON.
Prerequisites: You need to be comfortable with a computer, a browser and files. You should be willing to read API documentation and look at JSON. Basic JavaScript helps in the expression editor but is taught from zero. No degree, no prior programming job, no server experience required.
The picture in Goa

6 weeks · 36 hours · live online, two sessions a week. Every module is hands-on — you work on your own machine from Goa, never against systems you do not own.
01. n8n fundamentals and the data model
- Nodes, connections, executions and the difference from Zapier tasks
- Manual, schedule, webhook and app triggers
- How n8n passes items between nodes, and why one item became fifty
- Reading the execution log to find where a workflow actually failed
02. Working with data
- JSON structure, arrays and nested objects in plain language
- Set, Edit Fields, Split Out, Aggregate and Merge nodes
- Expressions, variables and the Code node with JavaScript
- Date handling, number formats and Indian phone/GST string cleanup
03. Connecting real services
- HTTP Request node: GET, POST, headers, query parameters, body types
- Authentication: API keys, bearer tokens and OAuth2 credentials
- Google Sheets, Gmail, Telegram, Airtable and webhook receivers
- Pagination and rate limits when an API returns data page by page
04. Reliability and error handling
- Error workflows, Stop and Error node, and alerting yourself on failure
- Retries, timeouts and why a duplicate order can be created twice
- IF, Switch, Wait and Loop nodes for branching logic
- Testing with pinned data before you touch live systems
05. AI nodes and practical LLM use
- AI Agent and Basic LLM Chain nodes, chat models and memory
- Classifying incoming email and extracting fields from unstructured text
- Vector stores and simple retrieval over your own documents
- Token cost control and where a human must still approve the output
06. Self-hosting and handover
- Installing n8n with Docker Compose on a VPS, plus PostgreSQL
- Environment variables, encryption key, backups and version upgrades
- Reverse proxy, HTTPS and securing the webhook URL
- Naming, documenting and handing a workflow to someone else
